A new Makita tool: DTR180 18V LXT® rebar tying tool
Makita’s DTR180 is a quick and efficient rebar tying tool with two modes of operation. The machine has an ergonomic design and a counterbalance system, and it can produce 5,300 ties per charge using a 5.0 Ah battery.
Ergonomic and well balanced
The rebar tying machine boasts an ergonomic design. Its counterbalance system reduces the strain on the wrist and the rubber handle allows good grip. Use of the rebar tying machine promotes occupational health by reducing a risk of wrist injuries.
Two tying modes: single and continuous
The machine offers two tying modes to choose from. With the single tie mode, the machine carries out a single tie when the switch is engaged. When the continuous mode is selected, the tool continues to perform ties every time its jaws come into contact with rebar.
Adjustable tying strength and an easy-to-change wire reel
The tying strength can be adjusted between settings 1 and 6 to match various tension strength requirements. The machine ties the pieces with a triple tie. When the wire reel runs out, replacing it is quick and easy. Changing the reel only takes about ten seconds!
Up to 5,300 ties per charge using a 5.0 Ah battery.
The machine’s brushless motor ensures that the battery lasts longer and in tests, a single charge has produced up to 5,300 ties with a 5.0 Ah battery. This translates to about 44 wire reels. The test result was achieved with two 10 mm rebars tied crosswise.
