What is Outdoor Power Equipment Be Safe?

Makita’s latest Be Safe product presentation is developed from our City & Guilds approved Correct & Safe Use of Electrical Power Tools Be Safe that drives home the safety philosophy for good outdoor site operations practice. It shows the right way to select and handle Makita equipment; Health & Safety risk management and PPE policy. Students are encouraged to handle the tools, ask questions and engage with our experts while becoming totally familiarised with modern Outdoor Power Equipment.

Who is Be Safe aimed at?

Students attending any land or environment related course will benefit including those studying for modern grounds care and maintenance trades, horticulture, landscape and environmental practices. You can request the Makita courses tailored to any particular trade discipline.  Be Safe is valuable for first term students and apprentices as well as more experienced students heading for jobs in land based industry. Our experienced demonstrators will bring a comprehensive range of Makita Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping and Forestry machines to illustrate the talks which can be delivered in your lecture workshops. Suitable exhaust extraction must be available and ideally a big screen for the slide support elements.

Workshop safety posters

Visual aids are useful in the training areas for all age groups.  Makita has designed a series of A3 colour posters which our expert will leave with you after the Be Safe presentation has been delivered.  Alternatively they can be downloaded free for display in your college.
